Goat's milk is incredible stuff, and seems to have been made for human skin. Goat milk contains natural alpha-hydroxy acids, which help to condition the skin by breaking down dead skin cells and encouraging new cell growth. It is high in Vitamin A, a vitamin known to help repair damaged tissue and maintain healthy skin. There have been several medical studies showing that creams made with Vitamin A reduce lines and wrinkles, control acne, and provide some psoriasis relief.
The fat molecule in goat's milk is very small and is readily absorbed into the skin, making it rich and moisturizing by nature. Last, but not least, goat's milk is the same PH as human skin, making it a natural fit. The first batch of hand cream I crafted very literally transformed my rough, dry, farm-worn hands. I knew I was onto something special, and I can't wait to share it with you!
